Three Ways We Can Help Your Watch
Each service is designed for a different situation. A wellness check for curiosity and basic care, a full overhaul for daily wearers, and a restoration for watches with a story to preserve.
Back to HomeHow We Think About Watch Servicing
Mechanical watches don't follow a fixed service schedule the way a car does. How often a watch needs attention depends on its construction, the conditions it lives in, how regularly it's worn, and what the owner wants from it. We start from that reality.
Before recommending a service tier, we assess the watch. We look at the crown and stem action, the winding feel, the accuracy across a few days, and the condition of the case and seals. That assessment tells us — and you — what the watch actually needs.
Our three service tiers are genuine options, not steps on a ladder you're expected to climb. The Wellness Check is a complete service for many watches. The full overhaul is appropriate for pieces that are due for deeper attention. The Provenance Restoration is a separate discipline entirely — suited to watches where history is part of the brief.

Examine before recommending. Findings communicated in plain language.
Agree Scope
No work begins without the owner understanding and approving what will be done.

Winding & Wellness Check
A short, caring service · 1–3 working days · MYR 1,600
The Wellness Check focuses on the winding system and general mechanical health of your watch. The watchmaker inspects the crown for smooth operation in all positions, tests the winding mechanism for slippage or resistance, and evaluates the current accuracy and power reserve. The case back is opened, gaskets and crystal inspected, and the watch is sealed securely before return.
At the end, you receive a candid summary of the watch's condition — not a sales pitch for further work, but an honest report on what we found. A welcoming first step for any owner who wants to understand their watch better before deciding on further care.
What this service includes:
- Crown and stem function test (all positions)
- Winding mechanism check for slippage or resistance
- Power reserve evaluation
- Accuracy assessment over 24 hours
- Gasket and crystal inspection
- Written condition summary
Stem-to-Stern Service
Full-scope overhaul · 10–14 working days · MYR 4,400
The Stem-to-Stern Service leaves no part of the movement unexamined. The calibre is completely disassembled, each part inspected for wear, and the movement cleaned ultrasonically before being rebuilt with fresh lubricants applied to manufacturer specifications. Worn stem and crown components are replaced to restore crisp winding and setting action.
The keyless works — the mechanism that allows the crown to wind and set the time — are inspected and adjusted. The mainspring is evaluated and replaced if its elasticity has diminished. After regulation across multiple positions, the case is cleaned, lightly refinished if appropriate, and resealed. Water resistance is verified with a dry pressure tester. Bracelet and strap attachment points are checked for security.
What this service includes:
- Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
- Rebuild with calibrated fresh lubricants
- Stem, crown, and keyless works restored
- Mainspring evaluation and replacement if required
- Multi-position regulation and timing
- Case cleaning, light refinishing, and resealing
- Water resistance test (dry pressure)
Provenance Restoration
Tailored restoration · 6–14 weeks · from MYR 8,600
A restoration guided by respect for a watch's origin and journey. This service is tailored for pieces with known provenance — military-issued watches, limited productions, presentation pieces, or watches with documented ownership history. The watchmaker collaborates with the owner to develop a restoration plan that honours the watch's identity.
Work may include period-correct movement servicing, dial stabilisation, hand matching, case conservation, and documentation of all modifications or repairs throughout the watch's life. Original parts are preserved where feasible. The service concludes with a detailed restoration dossier — a written record of everything done to the piece, including the condition it arrived in, decisions made, and parts touched.
What this service includes:
- Collaborative restoration planning with owner
- Period-correct movement servicing
- Dial stabilisation and hand matching
- Case conservation with original parts preserved
- Documented modification and repair history
- Detailed restoration dossier at completion

Shared Across All Services
Regardless of which service you choose, these standards apply.
Secure Handling
Watches are stored securely throughout the service period and handled with appropriate care at every stage of assessment, work, and return.
Correct Lubricants
Only appropriate horological lubricants are used. Quantities are applied to specification — too much lubricant causes as many problems as too little.
Written Records
Every service is documented. What was found, what was done, what was replaced, and what the regulation results showed — all provided in writing.
No Undisclosed Work
Work beyond the agreed scope is not performed without your knowledge and consent. If something unexpected is discovered, we contact you before proceeding.
Quality Parts
Replacement components are sourced from reputable suppliers. Any substitutions from original specification are disclosed in the service record.
Post-Service Follow-Up
If your watch performs differently from what the service record indicates after collection, bring it back. We'll investigate at no additional charge within a reasonable period.
